Fishing in Pajamas

...says "vacation" in one easy step. I mean, how great is it to get to catch a huge sunfish in hotrod pajamas using your very own spiderman fishing pole before settling in for fresh blueberry pancakes for breakfast?!

Daniel caught this one all on his own. He cast the line, watched the bobber until it got pulled under, then reeled in the fish--everything all on his own. (I may have held the rod a bit so it didn't get pulled out of his hands). He was so excited we ran all the way back to the house with the fish so Mom could take this great picture.

Jumping in the Lake with Sadie

Is this a Norman Rockwell moment or what? Sadie and Gabriel were magnificent hosts at the lake. Daniel and Sadie had a great time jumping off the dock and generally splashing about in the water.

At the Pool

"Hey Daniel, what did you just do with Daddy?"

"throooowwww.... me up in the air."

"Did it feel good?"

"Yeah! Hellloooooooo!"

Thowing in the pool

Daniel loves the pool. He loves swimming even more now that he figured out how to get his face in the water... His new trick is "getting thrown in the water." He'll go for hours, literally, without a break. When he gets cold, we have to remind him to get out of the pool and warm up. He's quite the advocate, though. Watch the movie to see him plead his case.
