Watching Scuba Divers With Max

Two of Daniel's favorites: his friend Max, and scuba divers at the aquarium. This day included both in abundance. Max and Daniel had a great time together. Daniel's long-term life plan still includes becoming a certified scuba diver when he's 10 (the age when kids can learn), and we've agreed that we'll probably do the whole thing as a family at that point.
He was bitten by the scuba bug on a previous trip to the aquarium. Every day at 10:30 AM the divers feed the fish in the shark tank, and visitors can watch from above or from the underwater viewing windows, seen here.

Snow Day at Pete's Grill

One nice thing about Maryland is that whenever there is significant snow, we get extra time to spend with our family. Daniel cashed in on the windfall (snowfall?) by dining out with mom. Breakfast of blueberry pancakes and all the fixins. He's not quite a regular at Pete's but he's working on it.

Frosting the Obama Cake with Sadie

Everyone celebrates differently. Obama's victory meant different things to different people. Aside from Daniel's understanding of the victory, (e.g. "Obama shares his toys better than McCain..."), the victory meant that he got to decorate and eat some cake! Woohoo! Go Obama!

MLK Day Parade

A totally cool day. Marching bands, horses, snow, cheering. Daniel even got his own Obama pennant to wave. We stood in the snow and cold for about an hour and loved it all. Daniel ate lots of snacks that we brought, but also a lot of snowflakes.
