Here is the dude, just vegging out (note the carrot shirt and vegetable-top hat). He likes to show off his muscles--this picture was taken shortly after he won an arm-wrestling tournament.

Once he discovered the "muscle shirt," he's been trying to get a protection-racket going for milk money.

He does impressions!!

So far he does a lion roaring, and an elvis impersonation (thank-you... thank you very much).

Some say that these are faces of gas pain and yawning, but don't believe them.

General health update: After a visit to the pediatrician today, Daniel gets a clean bill of health. He now weighs 10 lbs., 5 oz. Perhaps more importantly, the doc said that we could let him sleep as long as he wants at night, instead of waking him to feed him! Woohoo! now we have to convice him that he should sleep all night...

Bad hair days of summer

The summer heat is here, and the humidty. For those of us with hair, it can be a recipie for disaster. Enter: the summer bad-hair day.

Some day Daniel will forgive us for this.... maybe.

Providing proof

For those of you who want proof of smiles (see posting from last Thursday), we have gone to great lengths to acquire the photographic evidence in question. It was like a neo-natal safari. A post partum stalking with a toddler telephoto.

The elusive DSS smile is most often spotted during the rare moments of the awake-but-not-crying state after a nap or after a feeding. He seems to like having his hair combed, so that helps in generating the smiles.

These pictures don't show the full radiance of Daniel's smiles, but they should provide enough evidence for the viewer to extrapolate...

Chillin' with the 'rents

Daniel has begun to hang out with us.

He enjoys taking in the scenic surroundings after his baths...

and vegging out on the couch with his dad. His hands are still a bit too small for a remote control.
